Dhara’s detective coworker Jason solves cold cases, but she wants to warm him up.

Dhara is great at her job as an admin with the police, that’s why she’s been assigned to help a visiting detective working on wrapping up a series of cold cases now that the suspected serial killer is dead. Jason Rourke is as hot as hell but he treats her like a nasty piece of evidence most of the time, which Dhara is so not used to, since one of the perks of her job is the constant admiration she gets from the male part of the force. She’s not used to being ignored. But then Jason ends up needing her help to interview a still grieving mother. Caught up in the emotions of the visit, they end up having dinner and bonding—then he stays for breakfast. The sex is incredible and she wants more, but how can she count on a man who’s only in town for a short time?
