Shavings

A Cape Cod windmill-maker who whittles toys and minds everybody's business ends up minding two lives that need it. Joseph Lincoln wrote nearly fifty Cape Cod novels and this is the one people name first. This edition is bound with a gallery of 55 plates of painting, among them works by Winslow Homer, Edward Lamson Henry and Albert Bierstadt, alongside three restored and coloured illustrations.
