Sketches by Seymour

Cockney sporting sketches - the amateur angler, the militia man, the fellow on a horse he cannot manage - drawn by the artist who proposed the idea that became The Pickwick Papers. Seymour shot himself after the second number, and Dickens took the project over. Its 80 original illustrations have been carefully restored and coloured for this edition.
