The Mirror of Kong Ho

A Chinese gentleman visits England and writes home about the barbarians - their money, their sports, their women and their newspapers. Bramah reverses the traveler's tale and the politeness is the weapon. This edition adds 58 plates of paintings from 1671 to 1800, among them works by François Boucher, Hubert Robert and Balthasar-Paul Ommeganck.
