Oh, You Tex!

A Texas Ranger rides into a cattle country where one family runs the range, the courts and most of the opinion, and sets about arresting one of them. Raine was born in London, raised on an Arkansas cattle ranch, and wrote some eighty westerns; this one is dedicated to a Texas cattle inspector from the days of the longhorn drives, whose experience is all over the working detail. Fifty-nine plates of frontier painting by Frederic Remington and Albert Bierstadt, from a dash for the timber to studies of Indian chiefs at Fort Laramie, ride with the Ranger through the cattle country.
