Macleod of Dare

'Macleod of Dare' by William Black tells the story of the last son of Lady Macleod, Keith, who is leaving his home on the rocky coast of Mull. As his mother and cousin bid him farewell, they are haunted by the memory of his five brothers, who have all died in tragic circumstances. Sholto, the eldest, died in a shootout with Apaches in Arizona; another drowned at sea, while a third was lost in the Australian outback.
