This book is the initial first edition of the 'The South American Handbook', which is a travel guide to South America. It is the longest-running travel guide in the English language, with the first version being published in 1913, and its latest edition released in 2018. This book is written by Henry Koebel, a prolific author who had a particular interest in promoting trade with South America. It was compiled as a guide to South America, as well as Mexico and Cuba, for the business traveler.
