This work presents a poem telling the legend of a species of kangaroos. In earlier times, Port Lincoln was home to a species of red kangaroos, one of which was named Kupirri. He was enormous and would eat anyone who tried to hunt him. The sight of him frightened the locals so much that they would panic and even drop their weapons. Eventually, people found a match for this beast in two hunters named Pilla and Inda.
