The Tragedies of Sophocles

Sophocles is one of three ancient Greek tragedians, at least one of whose plays has wholly survived. For nearly fifty years, he was the most renowned playwright in the dramatic competitions of the city-state of Athens, during the religious festivals. This collection features the seven tragedies by him that have survived in full.
