Legends of the Patriarchs and Prophets And Other Old Testament Characters from Various Sources

What the rabbis, the Fathers and the eastern churches added to the Old Testament stories - Adam's second wife, the tools Noah used, the death of Moses - collected from Talmud, Koran and apocrypha. Baring-Gould gathered the whole apparatus of legend that grew around scripture. This edition is bound with 59 plates of paintings by George Frederic Watts, Johann König, Paolo Uccello and others, dating from 1408 to 1909, alongside one restored and coloured illustration.
