The Mythology of Greece and Rome

Complete and unabridged, with 10 full-page plates by Robert Fagan, Rafael Tejeo and Pelagio Palagi. A handbook of classical mythology for schools and for use with ancient art: the gods, their attributes, the myths attached to each and how they are recognised in sculpture and vase painting. Otto Seemann wrote it in German in 1869 and it was the standard student's manual for fifty years. The emphasis on identifying figures in art is what distinguishes it from the story collections.
