His "Day In Court"

'His "Day In Court"' is an adventure novel written by Charles Egbert Craddock. The story unfolds in a winter evening at a log cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains. The cabin is cluttered and disorganized, with a variety of objects scattered about the room. One of the men in the room, Stephen Quimbey, takes a candle and puts it in the window, but then becomes uncertain of where to put it and throws it to the ground in frustration. The dogs in the room are briefly interested in the candle, but then become disappointed when it is not used.
