"Pantheism, Its Story and Significance: Religions Ancient and Modern" by J. Allanson Picton
James Allanson Picton was a British independent minister, author, philosopher, and Liberal politician. Picton promoted a philosophy known as Christian pantheism which he chose as the subject of this book. According to his belief, the universe is nothing more than a manifestation of God. Starting by explaining the versions of this belief that pre-date Christianity, he moves on to explain how it evolved to suit this faith and how it's further adapted to fit the modern world at the time of this book's writing.
