Jaffery

A war correspondent of enormous appetites, the manuscript he is carrying, and the friends who cannot decide whether to save him from himself. Locke's comic-melancholy vein at full stretch, written during the First World War. This edition is bound with a gallery of sixty plates of painting, among them works by Walter Sickert, William Logsdail and Arthur Stockdale Cope.
