The Boy Travellers in the Far East, Part Second

The two youths go on from China to Siam, Cambodia and Java: elephant kraals, the ruins of Angkor, a volcano and the ways of the Dutch colonial trade. Thomas Wallace Knox was a war correspondent who had travelled the routes he describes, and he wrote the series so that a boy could learn geography without noticing. The prices, distances and steamer schedules are real. Its 283 original illustrations have been carefully restored and coloured for this edition.
