Home Scenes and Heart Studies

Domestic tales and sketches of Jewish family life in England, published after the author's death at thirty-one. Aguilar wrote to show English readers a Jewish household from the inside at a time when almost nobody had, and her books stayed in print for fifty years. This edition adds forty-nine plates of painting by Edward Hicks, Edvard Munch and Francis Montague Holl, plus six restored and coloured illustrations.
