Deadfalls and Snares

How to build and set the traps of the North American woods — deadfalls, snares, box traps, the bear pen — with the dimensions, the baits and the seasons. A. R. Harding published a shelf of trappers' manuals in the 1900s from correspondence with working men. It is a technical handbook of a trade that was already ending, and it is exact about everything except mercy. Its 59 original illustrations have been carefully restored and coloured for this edition.
