Finn the Wolfhound

An Irish wolfhound bred for the show bench is stolen, shipped to Australia, and has to learn the bush. Dawson knew dogs and wrote the book from the animal's side without giving it thoughts it could not have; it was among the most loved dog stories of its time. This edition is bound with a gallery of 56 plates of painting by Patrick Nasmyth, William Collins, David Cox and James Stark, all of them cottage and landscape scenes.
