The High Deeds of Finn

Finn mac Cumhaill and the Fianna - the boyhood of Finn, the chase of the Gilla Dacar, Oisin in the land of youth - retold from the Irish by a scholar of the revival. Rolleston worked from the manuscripts and kept the strangeness in. This edition carries sixty plates of painting bound with the text, among them works by John Duncan, Julius Caesar Ibbetson and Henry Clarence Whaite, dating from 1783 to 1928.
