The Jungle Book and The Second Jungle Book together, in the order Kipling published them. The Mowgli stories run through both — the wolf-child's education in the Law, the tiger Shere Khan, the return to the village and the return from it — and around them the tales that stand alone: Rikki-tikki-tavi and the cobras, Toomai of the elephants, Kotick the white seal's search for a safe beach, Kotuko in the Arctic winter, and the miracle of Purun Bhagat. Its 61 original illustrations have been carefully restored and coloured for this edition.
