This wonderful book about music was penned by Camille Saint-Saëns. He was a French composer, organist, conductor and pianist of the Romantic era. His best-known works include Introduction and the 'Danse macabre', the opera 'Samson and Delilah', and 'The Carnival of the Animals'.
